Alliance Tower Defense Roblox Controls & UI Guide

Alliance Tower Defense runs inside Roblox, so the basic movement and camera controls come from the standard Roblox control scheme. The lobby and in-match UI layer additional menus on top, and knowing your way around them saves time and frustration. This guide covers the controls on PC and mobile, plus the most useful pieces of UI you will click through every session.

Default Roblox controls

Because Alliance Tower Defense runs inside the Roblox client, the following default controls apply wherever the game does not override them. The full default keybindings are documented on the Roblox help center, but the most common ones to remember are:

• Move. W, A, S, D or the arrow keys on keyboard. The on-screen joystick on mobile.
• Jump. Spacebar on keyboard. The jump button on mobile.
• Camera. Hold the right mouse button and drag to rotate the camera. The two-finger drag gesture on touch devices.
• Zoom. Mouse wheel on PC. The pinch gesture on mobile.

If a control does not seem to work in Alliance Tower Defense, check the in-game settings menu first. Some Roblox experiences remap certain keys, and Alliance Tower Defense is no exception.

Lobby controls

The lobby is your hub between matches. You will spend a lot of time here summoning units, managing your team, redeeming codes, and queuing for the next match. The lobby UI typically includes:

• Summon altar. The interactive object or NPC where you spend coins to summon units. Walk up and click to open the summon menu.
• Team menu. A panel where you equip units to your active team slots. Open it from the lobby and drag or click to assign units.
• Codes button. A button labelled Codes, Twitter, Gift, or a bird icon. Opens the text input for redeeming promo codes.
• Match launch area. The interactive area where you queue for the next match. Walk up and interact to enter the queue.
• Leaderboard. A panel showing cumulative player rankings. Visible in the lobby and in-match.

The lobby is large enough that you can usually move freely without colliding with other players. Walk around the central area to find each interactive object. Floating text labels above NPCs and boards are usually a reliable hint.

In-match controls

During a match, your units defend automatically against waves of enemies. Most players interact with the match through the camera and a small set of UI elements:

• Camera. Use the right mouse drag (PC) or two-finger drag (mobile) to pan around the battlefield and watch your units fight.
• Match panel. A panel showing the current wave, your coin balance, and your team composition. The exact location of this panel changes with patches.
• Pause or leave button. An icon in the corner that lets you leave the match. Use this if you need to switch devices or adjust your team.
• Quick actions. Depending on your equipped units, you may have access to buttons that trigger special abilities on a cooldown. These are usually bound to the unit panel.

Not every unit has a manually triggered ability. Many units operate purely on automatic behaviour once deployed. If you are unsure whether a unit has a manual ability, check its description in the team menu.

Mobile-specific tips

Mobile players have access to every feature PC players do, but the touch interface requires a slightly different workflow.

• Use the camera gestures early. Pinch to zoom and two-finger drag to rotate are essential for tracking enemies across the battlefield.
• Tap targets carefully. Interactive NPCs and boards can be small on a phone screen. Walk close and tap once to interact.
• Redeem codes with the in-game keyboard. When the codes menu opens, tap the text field and use the on-screen keyboard to paste your code. Long-press the field to bring up the paste menu if needed.
• Adjust graphics settings. If the game stutters during busy waves, lower the graphics quality in Roblox settings to free up performance.

Settings worth changing

The in-game settings menu lets you adjust a few options that meaningfully change the experience:

• Camera sensitivity. Helpful if the default feels too sensitive or too sluggish. Adjust until panning feels natural.
• UI scale. Some lobbies and panels look small on a high-resolution monitor. Increase UI scale if text feels cramped.
• Audio levels. Lower music volume if you want to focus on in-game sound cues, or raise it if you prefer a louder soundtrack.
• Notifications. Toggle match alerts and code release announcements if you find them distracting.

The settings menu also includes the standard Roblox options for graphics quality and accessibility. Adjust those to match your device.

Accessibility

Roblox provides a set of accessibility settings that apply to every game on the platform, including Alliance Tower Defense. These include:

• Subtitles. Toggle captions for in-game dialogue and announcements.
• Colourblind modes. Filter adjustments for common forms of colour blindness. Useful when differentiating unit rarity by colour.
• Reduced motion. A platform-wide option that limits camera shake and motion-heavy effects.

If a specific control is uncomfortable, check both the Alliance Tower Defense in-game settings and the Roblox accessibility menu.

Troubleshooting unresponsive controls

A few common situations and how to recover from them:

• Right-click does not rotate the camera. Make sure the mouse is hovering over the game window and click again to refocus. On a laptop trackpad, two-finger drag may be required.
• Buttons do not register taps. Mobile users occasionally tap too quickly. Wait a beat between taps to give the UI time to respond.
• Match panel is missing. Some updates temporarily hide or move the match panel. Walk around the match boundary to see if it has shifted.
• Settings menu will not open. Rejoin the game. If the issue persists, restart the Roblox client.
