Alliance Tower Defense Roblox Engineer Camera Man Guide

Engineer Camera Man is the third of three units in the Camera Scientist Crew that arrived with Update 2 in early September 2026. Community documentation names Scientist Camera Man, Large Scientist Camera Man, and Engineer Camera Man as the trio. This page covers Engineer Camera Man. The Tier List Hub links to the other two.

If you cannot clear Easy City yet, finish the Easy City walkthrough before spending coins on new units. The documented beginner method still clears 1-player Easy City with an ordinary Cameraman.

Camera Scientist Crew context

Update 2 (early September 2026) introduced the Camera Scientist Crew:

• Scientist Camera Man - early DPS role
• Large Scientist Camera Man - heavier early pressure
• Engineer Camera Man - utility or support positioning

How to get Engineer Camera Man

Coins from matches, then the lobby altar. No verified promo code grants this unit. The Codes Hub lists active strings. x2 LUCK! may affect roll quality but does not spawn units on command. Luck pass.

How to play it

1. City test first. Place it as the sole spender in 1-player Easy City.
2. Assess whether its utility role provides funnel value compared to pure DPS options.
3. Max one body at a time before adding second copies.
4. Auto Skip waits until upgrades are paid.

Where it fits in the tier list

Engineer Camera Man occupies a utility or support positioning role within the Camera Scientist Crew. Its tier ranking depends on how that utility translates to funnel value in practice. The tier list framework asks: can it be maxed this match? Does it hold a funnel? Does footage call out a job?

Utility units can be harder to rank because their value depends on team composition. Test on Easy City to see if the utility helps or if pure DPS would clear faster.

What it is not

• Not a day-one requirement. Cameraman still teaches the funnel.
• Not the same as Engineer Cameraman (a separate existing unit with a different name and role).
• Not a guaranteed drop from any code or pass.
• Not automatically better than pure DPS because it has utility.

Relationship with Engineer Cameraman

Note: Engineer Cameraman and Engineer Camera Man are different units. Engineer Cameraman is a previously existing unit documented on its own tier list page. Engineer Camera Man is part of the new Camera Scientist Crew from Update 2.

Do not confuse the two. They have different names, different update timings, and potentially different roles. Check the Engineer Cameraman page if you are looking for that unit.

After you pull one

1. Equip it in the lobby team panel.
2. Re-clear City to test its role.
3. Assess whether its utility improves your clear compared to pure DPS carries.
4. Update Team Builds if it adds value.

When utility actually helps

Utility units shine when they enable other units to perform better, or when they provide coverage that pure DPS cannot. If Engineer Camera Man summons helpers, provides buffs, or fills a gap in your roster, it may earn a slot even at lower raw stats.

If the utility does not clearly improve your clear, treat it as a benchwarmer until you can test it properly or until patches clarify its role.
