Because units are obtained through the coin-based summoning system, knowing which units are worth keeping on your active team — and which to bench — saves you time and coins. How this tier list works

Units in Alliance Tower Defense are evaluated on several criteria:

• Base stats. A unit’s core combat statistics form the foundation of its power.
• Abilities. Some units have special abilities that provide crowd control, area damage, buffs, or debuffs. A unit with a powerful ability can outperform one with higher raw stats.
• Rarity. Higher-rarity units generally have better base stats and abilities. Rarity is a strong — but not perfect — predictor of in-game performance.
• Team synergy. A unit that works well with your other team members is more valuable than one that operates in isolation. The best teams combine units that cover each other’s weaknesses.
• Consistency. Units that perform well across a variety of enemy types and match scenarios rank higher than those that excel in only one situation.

General tier framework

Because Alliance Tower Defense does not publish official unit stats, the tiers below are based on community observation and in-game testing. Exact unit names are not included because the roster changes with weekly updates and we do not want to list unverified specifics.

S Tier — Best in class

S-tier units define the meta. They have the highest stats, the strongest abilities, or both. If you summon an S-tier unit, equip it to your team immediately. These units perform well in virtually every match scenario and are the primary targets for investment.

A Tier — Strong picks

A-tier units are excellent additions to any team. They may lack the raw power of S-tier units, but they compensate with useful abilities or strong synergy with other popular picks. A team built around A-tier units can compete at high levels on the leaderboard.

B Tier — Solid and reliable

B-tier units are the workhorses of Alliance Tower Defense. They get the job done without excelling in any particular area. New players will use B-tier units extensively while building up their roster through summoning. They are worth keeping on your team until you pull something better.

C Tier — Situational

C-tier units have niche uses. They might excel against a specific enemy type or in a particular match scenario, but they underperform in general play. Keep them on hand for specific situations, but do not prioritise them for your main team.

D Tier — Replace when possible

D-tier units are the weakest options in the summon pool. They have low stats, limited abilities, and poor synergy with other units. Replace them with higher-tier units as soon as you can. Early-game players will inevitably use D-tier units, but they should be the first to leave your active team.

How to use this tier list

Factors that shift the meta

The tier list is not static. Several factors can change unit rankings:

• Balance patches. MrUpTime’s Games adjusts unit stats and abilities in weekly updates. A unit that was S-tier last week might drop to A-tier after a nerf.
• New unit releases. When new units enter the summon pool, they can either replace existing top picks or synergise with them to create new dominant compositions.
• Meta evolution. As the community discovers new strategies and team compositions, the perceived value of certain units can shift even without direct balance changes.
• Game mode changes. If the developer introduces new match types or enemy varieties, units that were previously situational may become essential.
