Alliance Tower Defense Roblox Scientist Camera Man Guide

Scientist Camera Man is one of three units in the Camera Scientist Crew that arrived with Update 2 in early September 2026. Community coverage and Fandom documentation list these three new bodies: Scientist Camera Man, Large Scientist Camera Man, and Engineer Camera Man. This page covers Scientist Camera Man. If you are new to Alliance Tower Defense, start with Getting Started and the Easy City walkthrough before spending coins on new units. The documented beginner method still clears 1-player Easy City with an ordinary Cameraman. New units are altar candidates after you have a coin reserve and understand the place-then-max loop.

Camera Scientist Crew context

Update 2 (early September 2026) introduced the Camera Scientist Crew as a themed unit trio. Community documentation names all three:

• Scientist Camera Man - early DPS role
• Large Scientist Camera Man - heavier early pressure
• Engineer Camera Man - utility or support positioning

This wiki will not invent stats, damage numbers, or upgrade costs for any of them. The in-game update log and live gameplay are the primary sources. Test each unit on Easy City before assuming it replaces an existing carry.

How to get Scientist Camera Man

Coins from matches, then the lobby altar - the same loop as every other summon. No verified promo code grants this unit. The Codes Hub lists active strings such as BIG (555 coins) but no unit-specific drops. x2 LUCK! may affect roll quality; it does not spawn this model on command. Luck pass.

How to play it

1. Take it to 1-player Easy City first. The test is the same as any new unit: can it hold a funnel when it is the only spender?
2. If it holds, it can sit beside or replace an ordinary Cameraman on a second pad.
3. Max one body at a time. Two unmaxed copies leak.
4. Keep Auto Skip off until upgrades are paid.

Where it fits in the tier list

On the Tier List framework, Scientist Camera Man occupies the early-DPS slot that Large Scientist previously held alone. If it performs well in testing, it ranks as A alongside Large Scientist. If patches cool it off, it slides accordingly.

Do not rank a unit from a thumbnail. Rank it from a City test. The tier list framework asks: can it be maxed this match? Does it hold a funnel? Does footage call out a job?

What it is not

• Not a replacement for a maxed Cameraman on the farm path. Cameraman still teaches the funnel.
• Not a copy of Scientist Cameraman from Toilet Tower Defense. Different universe.
• Not a GOLDEN BAT! substitute. Different product category.
• Not a day-one requirement. Start with Cameraman, then expand.

Session plan after pulling it

1. Equip it in the lobby team panel.
2. Re-clear City once to test funnel behavior.
3. Recheck the Tier List if late waves feel different.
4. If it holds, add it to Team Builds.

Comparison with other early DPS units

Scientist Camera Man enters a tier list that already has Large Scientist as the documented early DPS snapshot. The question is not which name sounds stronger, but which body you can max this match. Large Scientist has a showcase claim of overpowered early DPS. Scientist Camera Man has Update 2 documentation. Test both on Easy City before deciding which slot to fill.

If you own both and can only max one, max the one that holds the funnel better. If you own neither, keep farming Easy City with Cameraman until you can test a pull.
